A new frontier in automotive refinishing is upon us, and never has this been more evident then this past week at the Chicago Auto Show. Apparently, Nissan is attempting to feel out the market in regard to new refinishing technology, two completely separate processes one of which repels grime, dirt, bird droppings, spills, etc…basically you name it. Whatever “it” may be isn’t going to stick to your car like it has in the past. Seems as if this coating might become a dealer option somewhere down the line. I find it quite intriguing. Watch what happens when they demonstrate with Hershey’s syrup. The zero emissions Leaf was already dubbed one of the world’s cleanest cars, and this video solidifies that title twice over “literally.”
Best described as, “Little umbrellas of air between the paint surface and the environment”
The product is called Ultra-Ever Dry by Ultratech International
After reading up on it, I have learned that this product is not designed for glass and WILL complicate visibility.

Of course, there is a prank video…Did you even have to ask?

Second in the brands quest to stand out among its competitors at the Auto Show was a Nissan Leaf sporting Starpath paint from Pro-Tech Surfacing, which isn’t going to be offered with the Leaf but none the less would still make it a crowd favorite, and it would debut here. This paint glows in the dark and is most likely going to begin a new trend. I would expect this refinishing process to become quite popular among the aftermarket enthusiasts worldwide in the near future.

Nissan’s “With Dad” advertisement during Superbowl XLIX was without a doubt one of our favorite ads. Congrats to the New England Patriots for defeating the Seattle Seahawks in the final moments, what an amazing game altogether. Our parts manager Jose Lugo hails from Boston and we are ecstatic about celebrating along side of him.
We hope you enjoyed great food as well as a few really cool commercials. This particular ad caught our eye, not only because it was Nissan’s first Superbowl spot in 18 years but because we got a glimpse at the all new next generation Maxima, as well as Nissan’s new Lemans GTR Nismo LMP1. Nothing better then the bond between dad and son

Around The Shop January 2015
Posted on: Wednesday, January 28th, 2015  In: Blog, Bodywork, County Line Auto Body, Detailing, Domestic, Import, Mechanical, Paintshop, Racecar, Restoration  |  No Comments »

Here we are, it’s the first week of January 2015 (Happy New Year). A new year so once again, here’s to new beginnings. With so many things going on around the shop at all times it seems as if we never really get a chance to get caught up. That being said I have created my own personal new years resolution and that’s to begin to spend more time spreading the news, and sharing more information through the County Line Auto Body blog. Basically, slowing down a little bit to make sure our loyal clientele has the opportunity to see what is happening in and around the shop every now and then. I’m planning on dropping a monthly “Around The Shop” post because it isn’t often our client gets the opportunity to see the back end of the big show. More or less it’s where the magic happens, not that the front office isn’t important, but that’s only the first step of the process, and usually the only step that most people get to witness…well, along with picking up the final product which again puts you right back in the front office. I felt this was the best way to bring the shop to life, show you the inner workings and some of the toys we get to play with,  display some of the hard hit collision repairs that are being performed by our certified and experienced craftsman, as well as the minor repair work, show-off some of the incredible paintwork that our painters turn out on a daily basis, give a few of the employees some exposure that they so deserve but in most cases are overlooked in the grand scheme of day to day operations. Every single step during the collision repair process is just as important as the last or the next, and our staff are the ones who are responsible for each and every result. We take a lot of pride in our work, and also the condition of our facility, we are constantly evolving in order to keep up with new manufacturer certifications, and repair procedures! In 2015 there will be many positive changes in the way that we do business, and it will be shared via this blog. We hope that you find it interesting and informative. It has been my pleasure to do business with the thousands of people who have walked through the door of my office, and I hope to continue to do so for many years to come. It is an honor to show the public why we have adopted the hashtags #CLAB & #NotYourAverageBodyShop. I believe that as this blog evolves you will have a much better understanding as to what sets us aside from the ordinary & mundane.

After 30 years, why is County Line now offering mechanical services
Posted on: Wednesday, January 16th, 2013  In: Blog, Uncategorized  |  No Comments »

One of the main reasons that County Line has begun to offer mechanical services is due to the demand requests from their current customers. We are asked day after day, where we recommend for oil changes, tires, alignments, and electrical repairs. A lot of people want to get their car maintenance done while their vehicle is getting collision repairs in an effort to cut down on time away from their vehicle.

In response to the requests and to make for a better customer experience, we now have opened our doors to all mechanical work.  This includes everything from oil changes to wheel alignments. We have two great mechanical techs on staff with two more techs on the horizon. One of the current techs is Eric O’Sullivan, a motor sports enthusiast and a professional drift driver.

To successfully provide this service we have placed a focus on equipment. Many mechanical shops you go to today are not investing into updated equipment, which can help with accurate diagnostics.  Between the new techs and the investment in updated equipment, there is no reason why County Line cannot also become one of the top mechanical shops in central Jersey. Truly making us a one-stop shop for our customers.

Our business is changing everyday and we look forward to continuing to serve Monmouth and Ocean counties.  Feel free to stop in or schedule an appointment online.

The Race of Gentlemen
Posted on: Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012  In: Uncategorized  |  No Comments »

The Race of Gentlemen is exclusively a traditionally built hot rod drag event on the beach from Allenhurst to Loch Arbor. This could be, by far, one of the coolest automotive events to hit NJ this year.

The cars will be racing from jetty to jetty finishing on the Loch Arbor side. Most of these cars do not make big horsepower, but it the cool factor and the beach atmosphere that will make this a stand out event.
